The Council has approved two new pre-action protocols (PAPs) for ‘disease’ and ‘clinical negligence’ cases which were developed by its Personal Injury Committee. These new PAPs follow previous Council work which implemented a PAP in personal injury actions.

The Council has remitted remit the new protocols to its Costs and Funding Committee (CAFC) for the development of suitable fees structures. The CAFC has established a working group made up of those with suitable expertise to assist in developing the underpinning policy for the fees regimes.
