This Act of Sederunt amends the Rules of the Court of Session 1994 and the Act of Sederunt (Child Care and Maintenance Rules) 1997 in consequence of the coming into force of section 54A of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008 (Remedial) Order 2018.

The rules amendments now enable single persons to apply for parental orders under the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008 ensuring the civil justice system is fair, accessible and efficient for court users.
