The Council has launched a public consultation as part of its review of how the Simple Procedure Rules are working. The consultation will run until 31 May 2018.
Simple procedure, which has been in place since November 2016, is a court process that enables people to resolve civil disputes in an informal, speedy and inexpensive way. The Rules are laid out using accessible language and user-friendly guidance wherever practicable.
All consultation responses will be analysed and considered along with any other available evidence to help the Council carry out its review. Once the consultation has concluded, a report will be published on the website.
If you require further information please email the Council at scjc@scotcourts.gov.uk.
Take part in the consultation.
The SCJC welcomes feedback on any aspect of court rules. Please email your comments to the Secretariat.
