The Act of Sederunt (Rules of the Court of Session1994 Amendment) (Postal Administration) 2016 results from legislative changes under the Postal Services Act 2011 allowing businesses other than the Royal Mail to offer a universal postal service. The rules apply only to a company offering universal postal services which the courts in Scotland have jurisdiction to wind up. They set out the procedure for the conduct of a postal supply company administration in Scotland to ensure that, should such a business become insolvent, there is no prejudice to the universal postal service it has been providing.
The SCJC welcomes feedback on any aspect of court rules. Please email your comments to the Secretariat.
