The informal, one-hour sessions are for court users and staff wanting to know more about the court reform rules and upcoming changes. They will also offer the chance to provide feedback on the Council’s work.
Spaces are still available in sessions being held in Aberdeen, Inverness and Glasgow.

All events will take place from 4.15 - 5.30 pm.
If you wish to attend, please register by emailing scjc@scotcourts.gov.uk. In your email please indicate your choice of session and in what capacity you will be attending e.g. solicitor, voluntary organisation etc.
The events will cover:
- a background to changes to court rules arising from the Courts Reform (Scotland) Act 2014
- an outline of rules already made by the Council
- the new drafting approach.
There will also be a discussion on rules still to come with a focus on simple procedure, and the civil Sheriff Appeal Court.
The rules already made as a consequence of the Courts Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 are in relation to:
- judicial review procedure
- exclusive competence
- all-Scotland personal injury court
- transfer and remit of cases
- permission to appeal to the UK Supreme Court.
