The Scottish Government has announced the appointment of three new Sheriffs Principal – two of whom are members of the Scottish Civil Justice Council.
SCJC judicial member Sheriff Ian Abercrombie QC and solicitor member Duncan Murray were appointed as Sheriff Principal of South Strathclyde, Dumfries and Galloway and Sheriff Principal of North Strathclyde respectively, while Sheriff Marysia Lewis was named as Sheriff Principal of Tayside, Central and Fife.
